Abstract	Panasonic Corp, TDK Corp and Sharp Corp showcased their DC (direct current) power supply systems for houses at CEATEC JAPAN 2009. The three companies claim that, if photovoltaic (PV) power generating systems and storage batteries are introduced into houses in the future, it will become possible to power many home appliances by DC electricity without electrical conversion and the energy-saving efficiency will be improved.
